Karlee Rose is a Los Angeles–based singer, songwriter, and recording artist known for her dynamic fusion of pop, synth, rock, rap, dub, and poetic folk influences. Her sound blends infectious melodies with bold, emotionally driven lyrics that are both fierce and inviting.
Karlee grew up in the Catskill mountains of upstate New York and began singing at the age of 2. Her dad was a talented singer and she was influenced by a wide range of global music. Singing, dancing and performance were the loves of her early years — passion that grew into work as a performer at Disney World, and into various bands and collaborations.
“There is always music playing inside me, I just tune into it.”
Throughout her career, Karlee has collaborated with acclaimed musicians and producers including Ross Vannelli (Kanye West, Celine Dion), Anthony Valli of Crazy Town (global #1 hit “Butterfly”), Justin Reinhardt (keyboardist on Dr. Dre's The Chronic), and legendary producer Danny Saber (Madonna, U2, INXS, Ozzy Osbourne). She has also worked with artists affiliated with Konvict Music and Thug Life Records.
Karlee gained nationwide radio airplay with her single “Tha Boss”, establishing her presence as a distinctive voice in modern pop fusion. She is currently in the studio working on new music for an upcoming album, and performing shows with her band, Key Evolution.
Kaptain is a drummer best known for his early association with Hollywood Rose, the band that would later evolve into Guns N' Roses. In 1984 he played alongside Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, and Chris Weber, recording a five-song demo that was later released in 2004 as The Roots of Guns N' Roses.
Kaptain was considered for the original lineup of Guns N' Roses, though the position ultimately went to Steven Adler. He later reunited with guitarist Chris Weber in a new lineup of Hollywood Rose featuring Jimmy Swan on vocals, Rex X on bass, and Andres on guitar.
Following that chapter, Kaptain became active on the legendary Sunset Strip music scene with the band New Improved God. The group built a strong following and came close to securing a major record deal with Capitol Records, before internal struggles within the band halted the opportunity.
Beyond music, Kaptain is also a fashion innovator. Through his fashion line he has designed for and dressed over 172 stars, earning recognition for his patented fabrics and bold designs that continue to impress celebrities and performers across the entertainment industry.
In 2010 Kaptain met lead vocalist Karlee Rose, and the two quickly connected over their shared passion for music, fashion, and creative expression. Today, Kaptain continues to write, perform, and record as drummer, writer, and vocalist for Key Evolution, bringing decades of experience from the Sunset Strip era into a new generation of music.
